[Response: To address your question, Carin... I don't know. What's more, neither does anybody else. Most of the stories we hear are about people who need loans, but don't qualify and bankers who are willing to give loans only to those who are in such good standing as not to need a loan in the first place. The primary factor when considering taking out a home loan, given the current economic environment, has nothing to do with housing prices and what is happening to "everyone you know". The first question you have to ask yourself is: Do you need a home loan? Answer that question with honest sobriety, and then you will know what you need to do. Thanks for your post, L.G.]
